Since 1975 Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc. has conducted thousands of trials in cooperation with leading research institutes and universities around the world proving performance of its products. Today, our ongoing research focuses on the complex physiologies of plant and animal nutrition and their impact on both yield and quality. In our product development initiatives, we place strong emphasis on designing inputs to produce healthy, safe food and a cleaner environment.

Our Research and Development Department concentrates on exploration of the metabolic processes at the cellular level and on the physiology of whole organisms. We work to optimize metabolic pathways at different stages of growth and development of an organism to obtain the best field performance, as measured by yield and quality. In the development of our products, we utilize the most current information in the fields of physiology, biochemistry and nutrition. Our scientists investigate and implement cutting-edge concepts of nutrient uptake and translocation, transport through the membranes, and elicitor effects on plant health and resistance to stress.

In our product development, we place the highest emphasis on product performance to ensure that farmers receive the best results when using Cytozyme brand products. Effectiveness of every new concept and product is tested by our research staff in two phases. The first phase is a proof of concept, involving development of a model system which allows for quick, reliable screening and verification of baseline data.  Products proven effective in the model system are advanced to the second phase of testing; field evaluations. All of our field trials are carefully planned in cooperation with independent testing facilities, universities and individual farmers. Tests are conducted in carefully selected locations on economically important crops, to verify product performance in a wide range of conditions and agricultural practices.

Our product development focuses also on designing inputs for organic production utilizing environmentally friendly, natural ingredients, certified and/or approved for organic production by leading international certifying organizations including Control Union and IMO Control.
