Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc. was founded in 1975 by Mr. Steve Baughman on the principles of improving people’s lives worldwide through better and more environmentally conscious agricultural production.  Cytozyme has been a pioneer in the development of products and concepts which promoted sustainable agriculture and integrated nutrition, using technologies obtained from nature.

For ten years Cytozyme has proven its products and scientific concepts in coordination with leading agricultural Universities and independent research institutes around the world.  Cytozyme’s persistence in obtaining its goals has been rewarded with a growing business and with several prominent and distinguished awards.  Mr. Baughman was selected by the United Nations and FAO to speak on the subject of applications of biotechnology in agriculture and participated in the international programs for development of sustainable agriculture in Africa.

In 1985 Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc. expanded its facility to accommodate our Research and Quality Control Laboratory with state of the art scientific equipment, allowing for research and quality control to be conducted in-house. Field testing of products at universities and independent research facilities has continued. New lines of products have been developed.

In 2002 we expanded our production facility to accommodate growing production demands. We increased our pet line of products and in 2006 were certified by NASC (National Animal Supplement Council, USA) for production of supplements for pets.

In 2007 our Quality Control Department obtained state of the art instrumentation to further extend our testing capacity of minerals and heavy metals and to support our Research and Development Department in the investigation of nutrient uptake, translocation and retention.

Cytozyme maintains its competitive position through continual product improvements and development of new formulations designed to better serve the market. We currently manufacture over 70 products with several new concepts under development to accommodate constantly changing demands of the world agricultural markets. We strive to not only supply leading products but also to understand the critical nature of providing technical assistance and service to meet the growing needs of our clients.
